About GeoTravel

One country, one clear structure.

A guide built the way people actually travel: choose a region, then a town, then the things worth the detour.

Our story

Where the mountains begin

Georgia is roughly the size of Ireland and holds a coastline, a wine region, a semi-desert and a five-thousand-metre mountain range. That density is the pleasure of the place and the problem with planning it: everything is close, and nothing is obvious.

GeoTravel began as a way to answer one question properly — where should I actually go, and when. Instead of a feed of destinations, it is a structure: the country, then its eleven regions, then the cities, towns and villages inside them, then the attractions and experiences you reach from each.

We are not a booking engine and we do not sell tickets. We gather what a traveller needs to decide — a real photograph, a short honest description, the season it suits, and how long it takes to get there — and then step out of the way.

What you get

Three things, done properly

01

A comprehensive guide

Eleven regions, the priority cities and towns, the mountain villages, and the nature, culture and coastal sites inside each — held in one taxonomy rather than scattered across articles.

02

Real photography

One strong photograph per destination, licensed or permission-cleared, with source and credit stored for every file. No image-search borrowing.

03

Simple planning

Recommended seasons, transport, weather and suggested trip lengths, plus filters by region, type of place, experience and season.

How it is organised

From the country to the trail

Every page on the site sits somewhere on this line. It is the one rule the guide never breaks.

1

Georgia

The whole country on one map, with the seasons that suit each corner of it.

2

Region

Eleven of them, including Tbilisi and the autonomous republic of Adjara.

3

City, town or village

Where you sleep and where the road starts — Batumi to Ushguli, Telavi to Dartlo.

4

Attractions

Canyons, caves, monasteries, beaches and passes, with nearby places listed on each.

Photography promise

Every photograph is accounted for

A destination guide lives on its pictures, which is exactly why they cannot be borrowed. Every image published here is licensed or cleared with the person who made it, and its source, licence and credit are stored alongside the file.

Where a photograph is not yet cleared, the slot stays as it is now — the right shape, the right size, waiting. Nothing shifts on the page when the real image arrives, and no placeholder ever pretends to be a real place.

If you photographed somewhere in Georgia and want it credited here, write to us.

Offer a photograph

Four reserved slots. Each one carries its own photo © line when the licensed file lands.

Languages

Four languages, one guide

Georgia's visitors arrive from very different places. Every page here is written in all four, and place names carry their Latin transliteration on first mention so you can still find them on a road sign.
